Loved From Above is an illustrated children’s book that walks through the development of a baby in the womb, week-by-week. Prepare! discussed the time of singleness before marriage from a Catholic perspective. 

 oth projects are close to my heart. For years, I struggled with being single while desiring to become a wife and mother. While engaged to my (now) husband, I wanted to make sure I documented my experience, allowing me to best-remember the ache of singleness so that I could help other people struggling with the same thing. Ultimately, I realized the key is to focus on growing as an individual and in your walk with Christ so that when someone does come into your life, you're ready! 

It's amazing how fast our lives can change! I met my husband and we got married just under a year and a half after we started dating. We got married, and I became an instant-stepmom to a little girl. 4 1/2 weeks later, we found out we were expecting! Unfortunately, we lost our baby. It was at that time, I knew what a truly precious gift each child is. A few months later, we found out we were expecting again! We had a healthy baby boy and another 14 months later!! Craziness! Anyway, I wanted to create a children's book that served two purposes. First, to be able to show children what is happening as a baby grows each week in the womb. Older siblings love following along and figuring out how big the baby is and how he or she is developing. The second purpose was to show children that unborn babies are humans too. Growing and developing despite their size and despite being concealed from our view visually. I want my children to know the value and reality that a human person is alive from the start of his or her existence and Loved From Above provides a fun, visual way for little ones to see this truth.
